Want to curl up on the couch with an afghan, a cup of Earl Grey (or maybe a glass of wine) and read an entertaining book? Try Kylie Logan’s League of Literary Ladies Mysteries.
I’ve been reading “And Then There Were Nuns,” don’t excuse the pun, she completely means it, and the smart dialogue, light mystery and the sleuthing by our Ladies is simply charming.
Logan also writes as Casey Daniels and indulges her true love of cemeteries by placing the hilarious Pepper Martin in one of the oldest cemeteries in Cleveland to solve mysteries presented to her by the ghosts of those buried there.
Poor Pepper can see the dead and they are constantly clamoring for her attention. You’ll laugh out loud, enjoy the ride, and still sleep at night. I do recommend reading them in order, but it isn’t necessary. Pick one up to pass the time on a plane, for example, and choose any one you like. You’ll never notice the time pass and you’ll be landing before you know it.
I like the Haunted Yarn Shop mysteries by Molly Macrae.
