Update for 2025
Hey everyone: I haven’t been writing regularly here for a while, so you are due a nice, juicy post. Update for 2025.
I’m not sure how juicy this is going to be, but it will be chock full of information. So without further ado, an update for 2025.
What did I do in 2024?
Damned if I know. Bell Bridge published Pinky Promise, the latest book in The Summoner’s Mark Series, and I attended a bunch of cons. I also signed a number of audiobook contracts, and that’s going to be the really exciting thing about 2025.
I signed agreements, via Bell Bridge, with Scribd/Everand for Hell Bound, Samhain’s Bargain, and Wish Magic, so those books will be coming out at some point. They start out exclusive to Everand and then eventually become available on other platforms such as Audible. I’m so happy about this because audiobook readers want the whole series and this looks like it is going in that direction. If you have listened to the books, please leave a review. It makes a huge difference.
A Wrinkle & Crime, my zombie cosmetologist novella series, is going to come out on audiobook on my favorite platform, Soundbooth Theater. I love those guys. They are the most talented audiobook narrators and producers I have ever encountered and the immensely gifted Ryan Reid will be voicing Waylon. So thrilled!
What else is happening in 2025?
Looks like I will be at ConCoction, here in Cleveland, March 7-9, and Baliticon for the first time ever, May 23-26. Then DragonCon over Labor Day weekend. That’s it for conventions this year unless something comes up at the last minute. I am very sad about missing ConCarolinas, but I’ve been there two years in a row and it is only right to skip a year.
I’m also working on the last book in the Summoner’s Mark series, entitled Angel Flash, and am in the research stage for a horror novel contracted with Falstaff Dread. It is a Holocaust ghost story that asks, what happens when the ghosts really come back to haunt you? It will be the most personal book I’ve ever attempted.
I’m right now writing a short story for a charity anthology and continuing to work 20 hours a week at a local library. You would think with only working 20 hours that I’d have a ton of time to write, but between supporting family members, trying to exercise a reasonable number of times, three kids (even though they are grown), health stuff, and the world being on fire, time seems to fly.
I’m working really hard at not letting the outrage get to me, but I want to remind everyone to hold each other tight, protect our friends and family members who are being targeted right now, and to resist giving into anger and hate. We all know that leads to suffering and suffering leads to the Dark Side. So, don’t go there.

I highly recommend that you follow the National Park Service on social media. They’re funny as all get out and whoever runs it is a complete nerd.
