Spoiler-Free Summary
Because of events that happen in Books 1-2, our heroine, Rebecca (Becs) Greenblatt must go to Hell itself. The process of going is both terrifying and odd, and the side step to another underworld adds to the multi-dimensional nature of Becs’ new world.
Accompanied by two men who can’t stand each other, Becs must make hard decisions on the fly, without the guidance of some of her closest friends, in order to close this chapter of her life and move on.
Characters
Rebecca (Becs) Greenblatt — summoner, possessor of the Kiss, a mark on the inside of her left wrist that denotes her as a summoner. This power allows her to cross between realms such as between Earth and Faerie.
Mikayla (Mickey) Greenblatt — Becs’ sister. Mom of Ruthie. Wife of Jonah (who does not like Becs at all)
Asher Michaels — mysterious and gorgeous man who used to be her upstairs neighbor.
Gregory Adamos — cut throat mobster of Green origins. Brother of Nick and son to Mimi Adamos (deceased)
Pinky — fairy with pink wings. He is six feet tall in human form.
Joey — owner of Joey’s bar and Becs’ boss. She’s half-gnome.
Mr. and Mrs. Long — owner of So Long Noodles and Becs’ landlords. Mr. Long was a doctor in China and Mrs. Long an accomplished herbalist.
Kenneth Long — Mr. and Mrs. Long’s son. Big smile and always wearing funny T-shirts. Dating Petal.
Duke Valefar — demon and a nasty piece of work. Demon Kissed opens with Becs owing Valefar a favor, which is not a good thing. Rules legions in Hell.
Derrick — a warlock and currently deceased and under Valefar’s “tutelage” in Hell. Formerly a high school classmate of Becs.
